XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon is dedicated to showcasing the development capabilities of Taiwanese students. It organized Taiwan’s first-ever blockchain hackathon exclusively for students. Over the past two months, XueDAO has actively organized various themed lectures and technical workshops, promoting them on campuses across Taiwan. This effort has successfully attracted many students to participate in the unprecedented student blockchain hackathon in Taiwan.
Furthermore, the two-day CONNECT Hackathon Sprint Camp officially kicked off on June 28th and 29th at Taipei Ark. The most exciting part, the Demo Day, is coming up next. XueDAO, along with student developers, is ready to demonstrate the explosive development power of Taiwanese students to the audience!
In addition, XueDAO will provide a stage for students to present their final results on June 30th in Taipei Ark. The event will invite several heavyweight judges who will ask questions and provide feedback based on their rich experience and expertise to the student developers. XueDAO invites industry partners, guests, and anyone interested in blockchain development to attend the Demo Day for free, to cheer on and witness Taiwan’s first student blockchain hackathon.
Moreover, on that day, the Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA) team from Singapore will visit Taiwan. Apart from interacting with students, they also aim to establish connections with Taiwan’s blockchain industry partners. Additionally, BGA, in collaboration with BuZhiDAO, will host a panel discussion titled “Blockchain Education and Public Welfare: Rebuilding Transparency and Trust” during the After Party on Demo Day. This provides an opportunity to personally engage with the BGA team, and XueDAO will prepare beverages, snacks, and a DJ performance at the After Party.

About Cathay Financial Holdings’ Blockchain Team:
Cathay Financial Holdings’ Blockchain Development Center aims to be a pioneer in blockchain technology among financial institutions in Taiwan. In recent years, they have focused on developing consortium chains and the Web3 ecosystem, utilizing blockchain technology to overcome the bottlenecks of traditional financial businesses.
They have also developed the “BDK chain-building tool” to help major domestic operators quickly build Hyperledger Fabric and Quorum consortium blockchains. This tool assists developers in focusing on developing financial business-related scene applications, promoting the development of the blockchain ecosystem. They actively expand industry-academia cooperation channels, providing resources such as internship opportunities and professional training for students from universities and colleges across Taiwan, igniting the enthusiasm and energy of young talents for industry development.
The GLHF International Hackathon Student Scholarship application is now officially open. This new project, initiated by Jacky Wang, Vivian Chen, Changwu Chen, Martinet Lee, and XueDAO, aims to fully fund students to participate in international hackathons abroad and provide mentorship!
From the initial selection process to professional training and guidance, this project will lead students to compete abroad. Its purpose is to provide Taiwanese students with more opportunities to exchange and learn from international talents, hoping to inspire them during this journey.
Furthermore, this project establishes a positive cycle. If students win awards at international hackathons, they will donate a portion back to the program to help support the spirit of the next generation. The project officially opened for registration on the first day of the CONNECT Hackathon Sprint Camp on June 28th. The first round of submissions will end on July 9th, and physical workshops will be arranged on July 13th for final selection. The list of selected participants and candidates will be announced on July 15th.
Accepted students will participate in the ETH Tokyo Hackathon from August 23rd to 26th, as well as the Dev Con ETH Global Hackathon (Bangkok) from November 15th to 17th. For detailed registration information, please refer to the official GLHF Twitter account.
